Stay on Target

Great advice from Doyce Testerman on his blog here about how not to get distracted from your goal when writing.

Or when in a relationship, baking cake, or giving someone a parking ticket.

Loved it. This is exactly my problem. I have a bit of a problem with my creativity getting in the way of my story-telling. I start writing a story that I know, but then I started fleshing out some elements in the writing and before I know it, I have a slop heap of words that have no real point. Stay on target. Easier said than done.

So true, Baley! Easier said than done, like most things that are worth doing. The only time I find it easy to clean out the fridge is when I really should be writing.

Ha! So I'm not the only one!
