Book 3 in the Otherkin series is now available!
Where magic meets truth...
"This new series is sure to be a hit!" --RT Book Reviews, 4 stars
I always wanted to know where I came from. Now that knowledge could destroy me.
Dez
thought she knew who her mother was, who she was. Thought she had
friends, a boy who loved her, and a school where she finally fit in.
But
across the veil linking our world and the next lurks a monster which
can annihilate. . .or liberate her. Now she must confront it there
with help from one boy who loves her and one who can't stand the sight
of her.
Dez thought she understood her tiger form, her deepest
self. But in this treacherous place, she'll have to choose between the
two halves of her soul--and determine which world survives.

Don't be afraid of the dark side....
Everyone has secrets. I had no idea mine would lead me into shadow.
Dez has found the place where she belongs. With the otherkin. With Caleb. Or so she thought.
As
the barriers between our world and Othersphere fall, a wall rises
between Dez and Caleb, leaving her fiercest enemy her only friend.
And maybe something more.
Now Dez must make a devastating choice: keep the love of her life, or save the otherkin from annihilation.

On the edge of our world lies the shadow of another...
I thought I knew myself. Then I met Caleb.
Dez is a good girl who
does as she’s told and tries not to be noticed.
Then she rescues a boy
from a cage, and he tells her secrets about herself.
Now inside her burns a
darkness that will transform her.
Everything is about to
change -- and neither Caleb, nor the Otherkin, nor those who hunt them are
prepared for what Dez will unleash.

I'm looking forward to this, but...have you Googled the word "Otherkin"? They're real-life people who think they're the reincarnation of mythical creatures, like faeries or elves. They're considered to b e a few sandwiches shy of a picnic, to say the least.
They do have a pretty strong Internet presence, though, so watch out for their comments.
Hey Erin,
So glad to hear you're looking forward to reading the book!
It's kind of embarrassing to admit, but I had no idea the subculture of otherkin existed when I wrote the book. I thought I "invented" the word. Obviously I was mistaken! I really should've googled the term before I wrote the book. But I didn't, and here it is, so I'm plunging onward.
I haven't had a ton of contact with otherkin over the internet yet, but so far the few interactions I've had have been either friendly or indifferent. Nothing bad. So far, so cool. So I hope they know that I just wish them (and everyone else) the best.
plunging onward,
Nina
Loved 'Otherkin' and looking forward to 'Othermoon'! Sad that we have to wait until February, that is so far away! Seriously loved these characters, couldn't put it down. Thank you for such a great story! Can't wait to see what's in store for Dez and Caleb.
I love your books so much it only takes about 3 days to read them cann't wait to read what happens next but the kill Siku thing sucks Please somehow in the next book bring him back :D
Melissa, I can't tell you how hard it was to end Othermoon the way I did. I cried, but I knew that's how it had to be. Book 3 will be out early next year, so you'll see then what happens. Thanks so much for reading!
Next year???? I can't possibly wait that long!!! I want to know NOW...
Nina, is the Otherkin series a trilogy? I thought I read that somewhere but now I'm not so sure...
I love this series so much now !!!!!!!
It is a trilogy, Shannon. I have lots of other ideas to write for these characters, but at this point, only three books total are planned. I'll let you know if any more are going to happen!
Thank you so much Nina Berry. Your of the best and will always will be the best forever :)
Your are a great writer and keep on following your dreams Nina Berry :]
:) Good Morning!!!!!!!!!!! :)
How are you doing today?
Good Morning, how r u doing today.
I need some advice: I am having a problem two guys I am in love with.
Their names are Payton and Tyrone.
For one thing, I am in love Payton, but he has a girlfriend now and he said he will never love me and I get that, but I can't forget about him.
My boyfriend, Tyrone he cheated on me a couple of weeks ago and we got back together and he promised me that he won't hurt me again. What should I do?
Hi Shannon,
I'm sorry to disappoint, but I'm not qualified to give relationship advice. My general advice is to believe in yourself and try to act as honorably as possible in this world. Try to be your best self, and that way you can look back later with pride.
Also, you should know that this is my old blog, and I hardly ever check it. The new blog is on Tumblr at www.ninaberry.com.
Good luck with everything - to you and to everyone! Love yourself first and always.
xo
Nina
Thank you, I will follow that advice and thank you for everything Nina Berry, you will always be the best and always will be forever and Good luck working on the book. :)
Good Morning :)
Good morning everybody and i cannot wait for 6 more months, it will be my birthday and i will be 18 and i am so happy about that!!!!!!! :)
Hi and 20 more days till my neices birthday :)
I apologize for interrupting. But I just started reading otherkin, its great song far!, I would love to know what Caleb is, im curious, could you help me?
Hi Lynn, thanks so much for reading! All questions about Caleb do get answered in the book, if you just keep reading. He's human, but he has a special connection to Othersphere. He's a Caller of Shadows, and you'll see what he can do by the end! :)
Also, FYI, I rarely come to this old site any more. I'm mostly over at ninaberry.com. But I do so appreciate you coming by any of my sites!
My Fall break was so awesome and today is my Daisy brithday and i am so happy right bow
